Quick answer
To organize a PDF, add one or more files and drag the page thumbnails into the order you want. On a phone, drag the dotted handle, or use the arrow buttons. You can also rotate or remove any page. Press Save PDF to download the new document. Everything happens in your browser, so no file is uploaded.
How to rearrange pages in a PDF

- Arrange the pages.
Drag a page to its new place. On touch screens, drag the dotted handle under the page. The arrow buttons move a page one step and work with a keyboard too.
- Rotate or remove pages.
The rotate button turns a page 90 degrees and the × button removes it. Reverse order flips the whole document.
- Save the PDF.
Press Save PDF. The new file downloads with
-organizedadded to its name.
Reorder PDF pages the visual way
Typing page numbers into a box works, but it's easy to lose track in a 40-page document. Here you see a small preview of every page, numbered by its new position, and you move pages around like cards on a table. Pages you remove disappear from the grid and are left out of the saved file. If you lose your way, Undo all changes brings back the original order, rotation and pages.
Combine several PDFs and sort them in one step
When you add more than one file, each page shows a small label such as A3 or B1, meaning page 3 of the first file or page 1 of the second. That makes it easy to interleave documents: put the signed page from one PDF into the middle of a contract from another, or combine front and back scans that came out as two separate files. If you only want to join files end to end, Merge PDF is quicker.
Tips for long documents
Thumbnails load in the background, starting with the pages on screen, so you can begin moving pages straight away. While dragging, move the pointer to the top or bottom of the window to scroll. For big structural jobs it can be faster to split the PDF into chapters first, or to delete pages by typing their numbers.
Quality and privacy
Pages are moved, not redrawn, so text stays selectable and pictures keep their original quality. The document properties of the first file are kept. All of the work happens in your browser with open-source PDF code hosted on this site, and none of your files are uploaded, logged or stored.

Does drag and drop work on phones and tablets?
Yes. Touch and hold the dotted handle under a page, then drag. Scrolling with your finger still works everywhere else on the page.
Can I add pages from another PDF?
Yes. Press Add more PDFs or drop another file onto the tool. Its pages are added to the end of the grid, ready to move.
